"MY AIM was to create
a story that widens the prostitution debate to include male sex
workers. I wanted to write a thought provoking drama that in some way
touches on the different aspects of this mysterious, dark side of
prostitution; aspects that cut deep and make an impact in several ways
on the lives of many prostitutes and their clients.
"I WAS keen to explore the picture almost like a metaphor and show how easy it can be for anyone to find him or herself in a situation or way of life from which it seems virtually impossible to escape." Cassius Matthias.
THE SHORT story read by Nanna (Diana Quick) was inspired by The Lute-Girl's Song, Po Chü-Yi (772 AD).
